I was so excited to add the Day In The Life sessions last year! The idea of following children and families doing their favorite activities throughout the day, was something I had been working on for quite awhile. I know that as a Mom, I love to watch my kids do the things they love. Play in the leaves, go fishing, draw with chalk in the driveway, blow bubbles, play dress-up, bake cookies, go ice skating, and so many other activities that bring them pure JOY! I decided to offer a session that would capture some of these great moments and do a wall collage to show a Day In The Life. These are amazingly fun sessions and the children have an absolute blast doing them. They truly don’t even realize that they are being photographed.
Below is a family that I have worked with for years. (Even before children) We played on the playground, ran with kites, walked through the park, and lastly, did a tour of the Firestation. Here are some of the collages that we designed and some comments from Mom.
“Thanks so much for spending all that time with us yesterday. The boys had a really great time. I can’t wait to see the pictures! And thanks for arranging the firehouse tour. The boys are still talking about it!”
THE PICTURES OF THE BOYS ARE AMAZING! Thank you so much for that DVD, I love it! I watched it at least 10 times yesterday. Shawn even watched it and loved it (and the boys too). Noah said “Grandma is going to think they’re all so cute”. He was really proud. I am anxious to see your ideas for the layout, there are so many pictures I like, I don’t know how I would pick. I loved the same ones you picked, plus several more (how do you decide between the walking on the bridge or sitting on the bench????)

The Firehouse Tour
Hi Debi,
Thanks so much for getting all of that together for me in time for Christmas! What a nice surprise, I wasn’t expecting everything to be ready. Yahoo! I got the collages up on the wall over the weekend and they look really good. My mom love, love, loved her collage (phew) and Debbie really loved her frame with the picture of the kids too. She asked me how I knew which one to get. It pays to have connections. 
What a great experience for my boys as well as myself! I was really excited about “A Day in the Life” because I had been planning on it since my kids were born. I was not disappointed! I am thrilled with the outcome as is my husband (who is typically less than enthusiastic about photo sessions). The boys spent an entire morning playing on the playground, blowing bubbles, flying kites, climbing on fire trucks, not even aware they were being photographed. They had an absolute blast and as a result, I got a wall of amazing photos and a slideshow that I will treasure forever. My only regret is that I don’t have enough space for all the pictures I wanted!

I think I am so blessed to get to work with so many amazing families. Below are some portraits of a beautiful young couple and their baby that I photographed the end of October. The weather wasn’t cooperating that day but we ended up with some spectacular images nonetheless. I also photographer her brother’s family that day and was able to do a few “cousin” shots. Such cute families!
